{"id":564,"date":"2008-12-31T23:59:47","date_gmt":"2009-01-01T06:59:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bunnyears.net\/dan\/?p=564"},"modified":"2008-12-30T13:58:27","modified_gmt":"2008-12-30T20:58:27","slug":"2008-in-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bunnyears.net\/dan\/?p=564","title":{"rendered":"2008 in review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, when I think about it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sold a few guitars; bought a few guitars<\/li>\n<li>Went to my first CES<\/li>\n<li>Got an iPhone; life changed<\/li>\n<li>Retired my PC keyboard of 10 years (but didn&#8217;t get rid of it)<\/li>\n<li>Played my last gig with Fast Times<\/li>\n<li>Built a quad-core PC<\/li>\n<li>Won my first (albeit small) poker tournament<\/li>\n<li>Sold my drumset; bought a drumset<\/li>\n<li>Went back to NYC for the first time in too long<\/li>\n<li>Went to Vegas for the first time not on business<\/li>\n<li>Survived a hard drive crash<\/li>\n<li>Made my laptop <a href=\"http:\/\/bunnyears.net\/dan\/?p=343\">way more awesome than yours<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Liked <em>Cloverfield <\/em>so much, I bought a Slusho hoodie<\/li>\n<li>Battled my first online stalker<\/li>\n<li>Acknowledged my man-crush on Dave Grohl<\/li>\n<li>Got totally hooked on <em>Top Gear<\/em>, <em>Big Bang Theory<\/em>, and <em>Gordon Ramsey&#8217;s The F-Word<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Shook Jimmy Carter&#8217;s hand<\/li>\n<li>Performed a Van Halen song live for the first time<\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Registered to vote; voted<\/span> <\/em><\/li>\n<li>Late to the party, discovered Jonathan Coulton<\/li>\n<li>Started looking for a house; stopped<\/li>\n<li><em>Saw the motherfucking Who<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Broke 1,000,000 in Folding@Home<\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Didn&#8217;t <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">lose a guitar in a devastating rehearsal studio fire<\/span> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Wrote and edited the <\/span>Guitars &amp; Gaming<span style=\"font-style: normal;\"> one-shot<\/span> <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s enough, I think.
