So I admit that I used WordPress because it was free and I’d seen someone else use it for their blog. I installed 2.0.3 because that was the current one when I started. After starting to get about two dozen spam comments a day (which nobody else saw because I have it set up for moderation/registration) I upgraded to 2.0.5, which was so painless I wish I’d done it before. Now I have the latest version running with no interruption, and actual spam filtering. From two dozen spams a day to zero? That’s good.
OMG. If anybody else is looking for a blog, go WordPress.
